On the Pod: Seven in Seven

With the Dodgers in the World Series, PBBC authors Jason Turbow (They Bled Blue) and Eric Nusbaum (Stealing Home) decided to leverage their literary connection to the team and break down seven interesting World Series in franchise history, each within seven minutes. The Dodgers won some and lost some, and all were noteworthy for different reasons -- only one of which had to do with it being the basis for one of the aforementioned books.

Thanks Jason and Eric. Really enjoying these podcasts. I have to throw in added thanks for Jason for doing a wonderful job coaching my daughter in softball 4 years ago! I was 14 years old in 1978 and attended games 3, 4, and 5 of the 1978 World Series at Yankee Stadium. Seeing the Lou Piniella line drive to Bill Russell live and many times after on replay, I always thought that Russell quickly made a decision to intentionally drop that ball to have a chance at the easy double play. Even though it was a legal play, I believed it was karmic justice for his throw to ricochet off Jackson's hip. Russell wasn't known for his defense, but that…
